Safety
Every member completes a questionnaire and a consultation before we introduce them to anyone, and must verify their identity with their driver’s license before they can message a match, and matched members can ask each other for an optional background check. If someone still treats you badly, you do not have to handle it on your own.
- Report a member, or a single message. Open the introduction and choose Report, or press and hold the message you want us to see. Pick a reason, tell us anything you think we should know, and send it. The other person is never told that you reported them.
- Block them. Blocking takes effect at once: the introduction closes and the conversation becomes read-only for both of you. You can block with or without reporting, and you never have to explain why.
- We act within 24 hours. Your matchmaker reads every report and acts within a day: removing the content, closing the introduction, suspending the member, or removing them from Ahmaris permanently.
- Something urgent. Email hello@ahmaris.com and say so in the subject line. If anyone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first.

Common questions
- I did not receive my verification code. Check your spam folder, then request a new code from the app. Codes expire after 10 minutes.
- I want to change my email or date of birth. Email us from your current address and we will update it for you.
- I want to delete my account. Go to Settings → Delete your account on the website (the gear icon), or Profile → Delete your account in the app. You will be asked to type your email address to confirm, and your profile, photos, answers, and messages are removed immediately. You can also email us from the address on your account if you would rather we did it.
- I want to pause introductions. Tell your matchmaker and we will hold your profile until you are ready.
